Domain Won't Connect – Causes & Fixes (DNS, A Record, Nameserver)

Quick answer: If your domain won't connect, in 90% of cases it's a wrong A record, wrong nameservers or ongoing DNS propagation. Check in this order – don't change everything at once.

5-minute checklist

  1. Nameservers at registrar → point to NexoraHost, Cloudflare or your DNS provider? → Nameserver guide
  2. A record for @ and optionally www → points to correct server IP?
  3. Propagation → waited at least 15–60 min since change? → DNS propagation
  4. Webspace: Domain assigned to site in panel? → Set up webspace
  5. Cloudflare: Orange cloud on? Test DNS-only (grey) → Cloudflare DNS
