Satisfactory Server – What Hardware Do I Need?

This overview helps you choose the right hardware for your Satisfactory server – depending on player count, factory size and whether you use mods.

Without Mods (Vanilla Satisfactory)

Vanilla refers to a pure Satisfactory server without additional mods – only the content provided by the game. The values are guidelines for normal gameplay.

Important: Satisfactory primarily runs on a single thread. A CPU with high clock speed (3.4 GHz+) is more important than many cores. A modern i5 at 4.5 GHz beats an old 16-core Xeon.

With Mods

Mods like Refined Power, Farming Mod or larger blueprint collections noticeably increase resource consumption. Plan an extra 2–4 GB RAM.

RAM requirements by playstyle

Storage

• Vanilla: 25–40 GB
• With mods: 30–50 GB
• In general: NVMe SSD is mandatory – HDD causes noticeable stuttering during autosave

Network

• Plan about 1–2 Mbps upload per player
• From 4 players, at least 10 Mbps upload recommended
• Ports UDP 7777, 15777 and 15000 must be open
