Frequently Asked Questions
My domain won't connect – what should I do?
Check in this order: nameservers set correctly? A record points to correct IP? DNS propagation waited (15–60 min)? With Cloudflare: check proxy status (orange cloud). Details in our nameserver guide.
How do I set up email for my domain?
Set MX record to mail server, then add SPF, DKIM and DMARC as TXT records. Our email DNS guide explains each step with examples.
Can I reach my game server via domain?
Yes – with an A record (direct IP) or SRV record (port + domain). For Minecraft we recommend SRV records so players don't need to enter a port. Guide: Minecraft SRV record.
DNS propagation takes forever – is that normal?
With TTL 3600, 15–60 minutes is normal. If it takes longer than 48 hours, there's usually a configuration error (wrong nameservers, typo in record). Lower TTL to 300 before changes to speed up future updates.
